This website was developed by a local group of concerned volunteers, who are using our professional trainings, our resources and our personal experiences regarding unkind and bullying situations to provide the community with free information, training, resources and assistance. We have two goals, that is, to focus on what to do about the unkind and bullying situations we encounter while also providing guidance and examples on how to implement strategies that focus on preventing unkind situations.
Throughout the website, you will read about many different individuals and groups who have been implementing very creative ways to change their environments.
For example, in 2013, Eddie Hamann, owner of the Andretti Theme Park, worked with Javier Molinares, publisher of the Al Dia Today Newspaper, and other volunteers to proclaim the month of May as “No Bullying in Brevard” month as a way to ask each person to assess their kind and unkind behaviors. Several articles about different aspects of bullying were published in the Florida Today newspaper throughout the month of May. The County Commission and the Cities of Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay and West Melbourne, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach adopted the “No Bullying in Brevard Proclamation”.
